The 502 video head is available in two versions: MVH502A with a 75mm leveling hemisphere and MVH502AH with a flat base and a 3/8 ”thread socket. Both heads 502 have this distinctive bridge structure. They are made entirely of aluminum, they ensure rigidity of the elements and safety during work. They have a longer sliding plate, which allows to optimally balance the weight of the camera to a greater extent. Wider top plate - better suited to the shapes of the latest cameras - has on the sides two sockets with steel inserts and 3/8 "threads for mounting directly to the head of additional accessories such as microphones, HD monitors, lighting, etc. Head tilts and rotations are carried out on bearings ball bearings with the use of special adjustable cartridges. This gives high precision even with very small movements. The resistance to the panoramic movement is regulated by an easily accessible, ergonomic aluminum ring at the bottom of the head. 502 heads are designed to operate in the temperature range -20 ° C ÷ + 60 ° C. The CBS balance counterbalance system and the long sliding plate of the camera mount allow for optimal positioning and balance of the camera weight, making it easier to guide the camera and control its movements. The accessibility of the sliding plate release button has been improved, now it is in front of the operator. The handle of the head (502PLV) is more ergonomic, padded with a material with a special texture, it fits better in the hand and can be attached to one of the two sockets, on the right or left side of the head. The head in version MVH502A with a 75mm leveling hemisphere can be mounted directly on video stands, e.g. 546B or 546GB. MVH502AH heads with a flat base and a typical 3/8 ”thread socket can be mounted on photo stands, sliders and various other devices. Both heads will replace the currently produced PRO VIDEO 501HDV head.
